A heavily worn and slightly modified example of a 1st pattern Motorised Reconnaissance Unit field cap. Extensive wear and staining, as can be seen from our images, the insignia totally untouched including Tropical bevo eagle and roundel along with copper brown factory applied soutache. Maker marked ‘Robert Lubstein Berlin 1941’ size ‘57’. The peak has taken so much wear that the wearer has slightly shortened the length of the peak and re-sewn the material over the remainder of the existing peak.
