GERMAN WWI AVIATORS HELMET.

The leather helmet worn and seen in photographs of German aviators of WWI. Generally good condition, some light rot to the leather where the rear neck flap joins the main body of the helmet. Clearly dated ‘1917’ with one other red block of unidentified lettering. Pigskin earpieces and the liner having 9 of its 10 tongues intact. A good degree of its original green finish remaining. One slight scuff to the finish to the top comb
