GERMAN WWII REICH LEVEL OFFICIALS VISOR CAP.

The officials of the NSDAP were identified by the colours of their individual groups, the lowest being blue. followed by white, followed by wine red and finally Reich Level Central Government in yellow. This is a very fine example of a Reichleiters visor cap in the heavy grained political material. Yellow piped to the crown and to the upper and lower sections of the velvet centre band. A lovely matched set of gilded insignia with the enamel undamaged to the central political cockade. The gold cord is of the cellion construction with twin political style side buttons. Standard brown front visor with its dark brown sweatband in a condition that indicates the cap has probably hardly ever been worn. On pulling back the sweatband the RZM paper ticket can clearly be seen, stitched with three stitches into the inner material lining. The upper inner crown lined in a very lightweight rust brown material with a small central celluloid lozenge with below in silver block ‘DEUTSCHE WERT ARBEIT’. A magnificent high saddle shaped cap for a Reichleiter.
