FRENCH MODEL 1866 CHASSEPOT BAYONET.

Generally good blade, one central wide fuller. Bayonet point has been slightly rounded. Ribbed brass grip, hooked quillion, numbered ‘11021’ to the steel hilt. Undented scabbard in good condition retaining much of its original blued finish, one dent to the lower half. Faint traces of the manufacturers markings on the flat back of the blade, but generally indecipherable.
