GERMAN WWI IMPERIAL GERMAN HELMET COVER.

A rather ragged but well service worn enlisted ranks helmet cover. Size stamped in the interior but with only the ‘5’ clearly visible. After testing on helmets we estimate this would comfortably fit a size 54 or 55 pickelhaube. All of the fitting hooks are present, the spike area is shredded, there is also some thinness and slight tearing to the remainder of the cover but nevertheless it is still a good helmet cover that would fit on a well service used pickelhaube.
