BRITISH CHURCH MEMORIAL PLAQUE.

A heavy brass plaque measuring 45 x 31cm reading ‘IN LOVING MEMORY OF MAJOR GENERAL SIR W.L.O. (OLIVER) TWISS K.C.I.E C.B., C.B.E. MC. COLONEL 9TH GURKHA RIFLES 1879 TO 1962’. This is a heavy item and shipping will be expensive. Major General Twiss servied in France in WWI from 1914 to 1917, he commanded the 2nd/9th Gurkha Rifles between 1920 to 23, awarded MC 1916. He retired from the British Indian Army in January 1939.
