GERMAN WWII 1943 PATTERN TROPICAL ARMY TUNIC.

An unusual material used in the construction of this tunic, classic tropical olive drab colour but with a speckle in the construction reminiscent of late war materials. Very faint traces of a makers mark and size stampings to the inner flap of the tunic. All removable buttons. Considerable wear to the very back of the collar, which has been repaired either period or by a collector, with its original tropical tan on blue enlisted ranks collar patches. A nice condition 1st pattern blue tan on brown tropical breast eagle. Loops for shoulder boards being of non standard material, no shoulder board buttons fitted. Standard four pocket configuration without pleats, which is correct for the later pattern tropical tunic. Six button closure. Skeleton lined to the interior. Standard adjustable cuffs with paper buttons. To the left hand sleeve as the tunic is viewed the seam underneath the armpit has come adrift and has been contemporarily repaired.
