A cap that unfortunately we cannot identify but fitted with Prussian enlisted mans cockade with officers national roundel. Good shape, all in black with red piping to the crown and to the upper section of the centre band, which also matches in black. Standard short visor for the period. Complete and undamaged black leather sweatband, which is undamaged. The interior lining is in a blue silk-like material, which hs faded to the centre but still has intact the large stamped silver ‘Deutsche Industry’ with the lion logo above. There are five different extra stamps in the crown of the cap, with date ‘1912’.
