GERMAN WWII SA MODEL 33 DAGGER.

Nice clean blade by the unusual maker of Wilhelm Wagner of Solingen-Merscheid. Good original cross grain finish remaining, markings along the blade from the inner scabbard brass blade retaining bands. The dagger would appear to have been hanging in the house of a smoker as all of the fittings, both the scabbard and the upper and lower scabbard mounts are covered in nicotine. Group marked ‘P’ on the reverse side of the lower cross guard. Undamaged wood grip. Minor chip to the lower section of the SA enamelled inset. Good national eagle. The ball on the lower scabbard mount has been flattened. The scabbard would appear to be an anodised scabbard, which has been over finished. The dagger is fitted with a non standard carrying clip.
