GERMAN WWII ARMY PANZER ENLISTED MANS M.38 OVERSEAS CAP.

A good service worn M.38 overseas cap. Stamped size ‘56’ dated ‘1940’ with remains of the original manufacturer’s name but illegible to read. The nap to the material is thin overall except when lifting down the side curtains and opening the upper envelope. All of the stitching to the cap has turned white through age. The Bevo woven grey on green eagle hand applied with light cream stitching with its national cockade, which has degraded slightly and complete with its original panzer pink inverted waffenfarbe. Slight moth nips in the area of the cap between the lower arms of the waffenfarbe. To the interior interestingly constructed out of two different types of lining material, the lower part of the cap in a grey grained brushed cotton, the upper inner in a cream linen material.
