A very nice officers quality pickelhaube, Some minor crazing to the skull, no damage. Minor distortion to the rear peak but both the peaks have their stitching secure and strong to the main body of the helmet. All of the fittings, which include the back strap, the screwable spike, circular spike base, Prussian front plate and front peak trim are all in white metal with the chinstraps in gilt with white metal end caps, also the stars on the circular spike base also in gilded metal. Fitted with both its correct Prussian and national officers quality cockades. To the interior the tan lining is in nice condition with evidence of light wear use with its inner silk lining material in place. Pencil size 56½’ to the interior. The upper inner dome retaining all of its original mid tan leather colour.
