GERMAN WWI BAVARIAN 12TH INFANTRY REGIMENT PICKELHAUBE.

A superb condition enlisted ranks all leather pickelhaube being of a size 56. Good leather skull, one slight crease to the skin just behind the Bavarian cockade. All matching brass fittings, one indentation to the back strap, non removable brass spike, standard Bavarian crown. The chinstrap is original with the wide front peak trim, which has kinks to the interior. The leather body to the interior of the helmet with very nice original colour with an oval and maker and date stamp of ‘Romer 1915 Neu Ulm’. The 9 tongued leather liner all intact and supple with good colour and very deeply stamped ’12.JR 1915’, the second part of the letter ‘R’ has not been stamped clearly (Infantry Regiment 12). The helmet also has both its national and Bavarian State cockades.
