GERMAN WWII ARMY BERGMUTZE / M.43 CAP.

A very nice well service used late war short peak M.43 cap in the familiar Bergmutze cloth with Bergmutze style front buttons. The cap is absolutely integrated with white fibres showing through the material indicating this is of a multi chemical construction wool. Twin button front with its T shaped Bevo woven grey on green and national cockade insignia. On pulling down the side curtains the original material with all of its nap can clearly be seen. The upper inner crown lining still visible and we believe that the wearer has double lined the cap for extra comfort or warmth by adding an extra layer on material to the complete inner sides of the cap.
