GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE FLIGHT SECTION MANS/NCO VISOR CAP.

A very nice high saddle shaped visor cap constructed in enlisted mans material, some light moth tracking to the nap of the cloth only, on the upper part of the body. Good bright yellow waffenfarbe against the Luftwaffe blue grey. Standard mohair centre band. A matching set of bright wartime period Luftwaffe eagle and cockade. Standard double buckle strap. The peak is of the double edged variety. To the interior the sweatband is all intact, it is of the ersatz variety and has slightly rotted and cracked in places. The unique feature of the cap, it is the only other manufacturer other than Erel who created the vented cockade to have the ability for fresh air circulation, the trade name is known as Frischluft (fresh air). The upper inner rayon gold lining all intact with one little moth nip and one stain. The central lozenge all complete with the maker and a logo completely intact below the central lozenge with the added feature of the original owner’s name tag placed in the section for the identification tags to be fitted, if desired. Minor moth nips to part of the golden yellow waffenfarbe.
