GERMAN WWII COASTAL ARTILLERY OVERSEAS CAP.

A very nice quality enlisted ranks overseas cap of the Coastal Artillery with its correct yellow on Coastal Artillery green Bevo woven eagle and correct cockade having the inverted V yellow waffenfarbe. To the left hand side of the cap is fitted the metallic edelweiss badge, after research we cannot find the reasoning for this badge, this may have been a local unit tradition. Good nap to the cloth, no moth or damage. Profusely maker marked to the interior with good clear date ‘1940’ and size ‘55’. Some minor staining to the Bevo woven eagle and discoloration to the yellow waffenfarbe.
