An extremely nice condition officer quality constructed semi saddle shape signals section visor cap, constructed in the very fine quality officers ribbed material. The classic brown waffenfarbe for the signals section. Standard mohair centre band. A matched pair of aluminium national eagle and cockade, the eagle being the early short winged droop tail variety. Standard black leather patent chinstrap. The peak has the commonly encountered double edge ribbing. Some light congealing to the exterior of the peak. The cap is totally free of any moth damage. To the interior the upper inner crown lining is of the russet brown type. The mid tan leather sweatband has had some fatigue mainly around the left hand side of the sweatband as the cap is viewed in an inverted shape. There is minor evidence of moth damage to the interior brushed cotton lining only. A full undamaged centre celluloid lozenge of a maker or retailer ‘Ostland Mutzen Industry Freiburg 1939 size 57’.
