GERMAN WWII AFRIKA KORPS M.40 FIELD CAP.

A size 58 1st pattern tropical field cap, it has not bleached but has seen much service wear, one slight nick to the cloth on the crown. The correct Bevo woven tan on brown cap eagle has been replaced. The national cockade is the original 1st pattern applied in the correct stitch pattern of the maker Carl Halfar. The yellow cavalry waffenfarbe we believe has been replaced. ‘1940’ date. The cap has been substantially soaked at some time and the inner board to the peak is congealed somewhat. We have a completely original M.40 field cap, replaced insignia and a replaced soutache, all other elements of the cap untouched. We have priced the cap according to the adjustments made by a collector.
