GERMAN WWII 1937 LUFTWAFFE 2nd MODEL OFFICERS DAGGER.

Superb example, mint blade by Eickhorn with all cross grain finish remaining. All of the grey patinated finish to the upper pommel, cross guard and scabbard all match. The two swastikas on either side of the upper pommel still have remains of their gold. The deep orange grip absolutely perfect with its original grip wire. The dagger has its correct short pattern portapee knot and a very good set of the officers dagger hangers. At some point in the life of the dagger hangers it would appear that the brocade straps have been folded quite flat, in that area of the folds approximately 8cm from the upper clip the brocade and the inner strengthening cardboard has fatigued. Nevertheless a very fine example of this dagger.
