GERMAN WWII KRIEGSMARINE DAGGER WITH STRAPS, NEAR MINT.
A superb example of a naval officers dagger with its original straps having an absolutely superb blade by WKC with the standard naval etching of fouled anchor and floriated patterns. Good deep WKC stamping to the upper forte of the blade. Still with its original red velvet washer. The dagger is a good tight fit to the scabbard. To the exterior the upper pommel, cross guard and scabbard retain 99% of their original gilt. The swastika within the lower field of the pommel still has some of the frosted highlights remaining as the scabbard has and all the main body. Some elements of frosting remaining on the upper and lower portions of the cross guard. The celluloid grip totally undamaged with its original grip wire. Fitted to the dagger are probably the best set of naval straps we have had in many years, mint gilt to the buckles, very slight loss of gilt to three of the attachment clips. It would be difficult to find a better example.
