GERMAN WWII SMALL BATTLE UNIT BADGE.

For many years the badges of the small battle units have been quite disregarded, some very good copies were made in the 1970’s, with all the research that has been done the excellent work on Kriegsmarine awards we can now establish the good from the bad and this is a fine example of the Grade 1 machine embroidered Sawfish on dark blue cloth. Recently a Rolex watch belonging to one of the small battle unit operatives sold for huge amounts in a well known German auction, this particular piece originally came from a similar quality auction in Germany.
