GERMAN WWII DAK TROPICAL 1ST PATTERN SMOKE TROOPS FIELD CAP.

A rare arm of the service for North Africa, standard DAK field cap. Faint traces of markings evident to the red lining with the maker of ‘Carl Halfer’ with size stamping of ‘56’. There is evidence of service wear, the seam of the crown of the hat has split for a length of 6cm otherwise the cap is undamaged, complete with its correct Bevo woven eagle on tan background with matching cockade factory applied in the correct configuration for the factory of Carl Halfer being machine zigzag stich applied, still having the inverted V waffenfarbe (soutache) of smoke troops (Nebelwerfer) being bordeaux wine red also applied in the correct Carl Halfer format..
