GERMAN WWI TRENCH PERISCOPE.

A superb trench periscope, 160cm in length, in its original issue paint. Manufactured by Hansoldt of Wetzlar. Dated ‘1918’, in its original all tin carrying case with the remains of its paper substitute strap. This rare artefact of trench warfare, presumably sat on a tripod, the base of the apparatus is hollow, therefore having the ability to take a periscope peg. Slight chipping to the composition eyepiece, optics perfect.
