GERMAN WWII ARMY CHAPLAIN’S VISOR CAP.
An extremely difficult to find visor cap of the German armed forces is the cap to the Chaplains Department. Although no size mentioned, on test it is possibly size 55 or 56. Very nice high quality ribbed officers material with all purple piping. One moth nip to the piping on the upper crown to the rear left hand side. Standard dark green centre band. A matched set of stamped aluminium national eagle and cockade with the Chaplains cross is fitted between the eagle and cockade. Standard officers cap cords. Fibre peak with some crazing. Standard leather sweatband, which is intact without damage. The inner gold lining is complete, the celluloid lozenge has gone but still retaining the original stamp of the maker in Hannover printed to the crown lining.
