One of the very difficult regiments to obtain being Oldenburg Jager Regiment 91 all leather pickelhaube in unusually a very large size. The exterior to the skull is good with crazing overall. The form of the helmet is of the style with the peaks being pressed into place as part of the skull and not as separate items. All brass fittings overall. Standard front Prussian plate with the Oldenburg Star. Original chinstrap with buckles. Correct national and state cockades for Oldenburg. To the interior the 9 tongued liner in superb condition, marked to the reverse side of the rear peak ‘O.J.R.91’ with another faint marking to the opposite side of the peak. Not only is it a rare state but in unusual construction of helmet.
