GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE OFFICERS WORN CAP.

A very heavily worn Luftwaffe officers cap, which has had the hard board removed from the sides of the cap giving it the crusher look, it was originally a double marked Erel cap. The body in nice condition, one area of the waffenfarbe, the inner strengthening tube has broken way through the waffenfarbe. Two minor nips on the side. Standard mohair centre band. A matched pair of Luftwaffe officers wire woven eagle cockade with standard wire cap cords and pebbled side buttons. The front peak is the normal extra ribbed Luftwaffe style, with its mid tan leather sweatband. Green silk interior with the centre celluloid lozenge being in place, Erel marking to the sweatband. The rear seam of the cap has been opened by the wearer. The original wearer’s name ‘Lt.R.Hunbt’ hand applied to the interior of the sweatband. A good service used Luftwaffe officers cap.
