An absolutely superb high saddle shape huge size Luftwaffe officers visor cap. The cap must be a size 58 or 59, absolutely clear of any moth damage anywhere on the main body. Standard mohair centre band. Silver waffenfarbe either side of the band and standard waffenfarbe in silver around the crown. A very nice matched set of Luftwaffe officers bullion wire woven eagle and cockade. Standard double ribbed peak. To the interior the sweatband is in the grey leather, which matches the grey rayon inner lining. The interior celluloid lozenge all complete, no cracks, with the full silver Verkaufs-Abteilung Der Luftwaffe Berlin SW65’ markings underneath the lozenge. The orange cushion quite often found behind the forehead area of the sweatband of Third Reich peak caps is absolutely complete and has not solidified.
