A rare construction of a leather pickelhaube known as the football helmet. Small size helmet. All brass fittings for a Saxon Artillery man. Correct standard non serrated style state and national cockades. Original chinstrap. 9 tongued liner in superb condition. A good example of this constructed style helmet is shown on page 114 and 115 of Feldzug 1914 by Michael Baldwin.
