GERMAN WWII SS MOUNTAIN TROOPERS SOLDBUCH.

A nice condition clearly marked SS soldbuch to the front cover, some slight creases to the edges, the original owner’s name of ‘Kempf’ hand applied to the front cover. His pass photograph shows him hatless, wearing his SS M.43 tunic with double runes collar patch. Full name of Franz Kempf, he joined the Mountain Troops Battalion 7 on the 7th December 1944, the unit details on page 4. This Battalion was a member of the Prinz Eugen Division and saw much service against partisans. Many other details throughout the Soldbuch. On page 30 a typed paper pasted into the page of his awards, on the 14th February 1945 he was awarded the War Service Cross 2nd class with swords and on the 20th April 45 the 1st class War Service Cross with swords signed by the Company Commander, with the Company over stamp. A rare late war document.
