GERMAN WWII BDM HITLER YOUTH BLOUSE.

The classic four pocket blouse worn by members of the BDM. This example is with the triangular Bevo woven patch of ‘Sudost Oberdonau’ with the Hitler Youth red and white Bevo woven lozenge shaped insignia below. All of the buttons are of the football type, marked ‘BDJM’. A good example of the uniform regulation identification of this blouse can be seen on page 90 of John R. Angolia’s book The HJ volume 1. Applied to the upper left hand collar as the tunic is worn is a metal edelweiss, to the lower right pocket is a 1943 Achievement badge, to the upper inner collar there is a size woven label of ‘44’ with the original owner’s name hand applied ‘L.Holzinger’ to the interior lining in white cotton thread.
