GERMAN WWII RLB VISOR CAP.

A lovely condition visor cap for the RLB. The all Luftwaffe blue body in mint condition without any serious moth damage, three small nips at the very back of the cap where it folds over and meets the dark blue border on the black centre band. Purple waffenfarbe to the lower and upper sections of the centre band and the crown. Short M29 winged eagle with national cockade below, standard black leather strap with black smooth side buttons. The interior leather sweatband is complete with evidence of wear use. The upper inner crown area in the waterproof russet brown material with matching colour light cotton lining to the inside of the cap. To the centre the celluloid lozenge has broken, it has been taped together but below the lozenge is still the good and clear RLB 1st pattern insignia silver blocked into the russet brown waterproof material, also indicated is the rank of Gruppe 3 to 10. The cap is stamped size ‘57’ to the interior of the liner, also original owner’s name is hand applied to another section of the liner giving his group area number, plus his name.
