GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE PILOT OBSERVERS BADGE IN ITS ORIGINAL CASE.

A good example of the non maker marked Pilot Observers Badge, these are generally regarded as being produced by the F.L. & L. A good degree of the original gilt remaining to the wreath and a lot of silvering remaining within the lower field of the eagle. Two quite large domed rivets, thick needle pin, original hook and hinge. All fitted into its original early pattern box with flat top with the large lettering ‘LUFTWAFFE FLUGZEUGFUHRER U. BEOBACHTER ABZEICHEN’. Some slight distortion to the upper part of the lid. The area between the lid and the base was produced with a paper covering to hide the hinge, this has rotted. The flock base of the box itself has faded and matches the condition of the badge exactly.
