GERMAN WWII M.43 WINTER CAP.

A very scarce variation of the winter cap worn by the army being the standard form of M.43 construction with separately applied Bevo woven eagle and national cockade. The whole interior crown area and the side curtains lined in a dark blue sheepskin and joined together when closed at the crown with a standard pebbled button. The size of the cap is approximately 57. A nice example of this cap is shown on page 78 of Headgear of Hitler’s Germany Volume 1.
