GERMAN WWII ARMY PANZER GRENADIER OFFICERS VISOR CAP.

A very nice high saddle shaped Army Panzer Grenadier officers visor cap. Constructed in the slightly rougher quality material with matching rough quality dark green centre band. Standard light apple green Panzer Grenadier waffenfarbe. Stamped aluminium eagle with bullion wire woven cockade with metallic central roundel. Standard officers cap cords with pebbled silver buttons. At the rear of the underside of the cap there are one or two minor moth nips, also some slight moth damage on the dark green centre band at the rear of the cap. The cap is size stamped ‘58’ within the grey leather sweatband. Grey sweatband, the wearer has placed a folded section of paper to the interior to create a more snug fit to his head, Marked to the interior of the sweatband ‘JOH.SELTZ MUTZEN FABRIK, LANDAU’. The cap was never fitted with a centre celluloid lozenge, slight hair grease marks to the upper inner crown and some light rust spotting. A fabulous looking cap with a rare waffenfarbe.
