GERMAN WWI SAXON WEIMAR PICKELHAUBE.

A very nice pickelhaube from the rare State of the Saxon Weimar, worn by a 1 year volunteer. Prussian Infantry Regiment 94 always had the helmet plate with the Furst scroll at the lower part of the neck of the eagle, they also have the overlay plate of the State of Saxe-Weimar. This 54cm size skull in superb condition with its front and back peaks showing some congealing, securely attached to the main body. All of the fittings, which include the enlisted ranks gilded back strap, removable officers spike on a circular spike base with enlisted mans domes instead of officers stars, officers front plate with cut out crown, officers quality Saxe-Weimar overlay star, enlisted ranks leather strap with enlisted ranks cockades for the Reich and the gold and green cockade of Saxe-Weimar. To the interior the helmet has an officers quality liner, which has had some wear use but is all complete with its inner officers silk, which is all complete but shredded in places. The helmet is named to a 1 year volunteer 'Dietrich' with the date '6-04' indicating June 1904. A very scarce helmet.
