GERMASN WWI GUARD DU CORPS HELMET.

A good untouched example of an enlisted troopers helmet for the Imperial German Guard Cuirassier Regiment. The early stepped peaked skull in generally excellent condition, a few minor ripples to the thick heavy skull but without any damage at all. The rear three part lobster tail having all of its nickel domed rivets tight ensuring that the lobster tail is tight to the main skull, front peak also tight to the skull. Standard enlisted mans Guard Du Corps and Guard Cuirassier front plate in good condition with all the points of the Guard Star intact. The helmet is fitted with both of its original large size national and State cockades, its correct large size domed chin scales. The interior liner is all complete but dry and congealed. The leather material that lines the front and back inner peaks is complete on the back peak with some loss to the inner front peak. The helmet is complete with its Guard Du Corps eagle, which has one crack to the right hand leg and foot of the eagle rendering the eagle slightly loose on its foot, also another small split just behind the crown on the eagle's head. Stamped 'GKR 1E' to the exterior of the rear lobster tail. A highly impressive looking Guard Cuirassier helmet that has signs of much wear use but without any serious damage or imperfections.
