Iron Cross in exceptional fine quality by the Royal Jeweller Sy & Wagner, Berlin. Stamped ‘S-W’ on the ring. The citation is slightly smaller than A4 size and is to Hauptmann Der Schultz who served in Landsturm Line Battalion Briesen. Signed in ink by General Durrin, citation signed ‘27th January 1915 at Mlarva on the Eastern Front and with issue stamp ‘Korps V Zastrow’. The Korps was commanded by General of Infantry Ernst Von Zastrow, Korps formed in October 1914 and became the 17th Reserve Korps. The citation folded twice with slight age foxing to the upper half of the citation, medal superb.
