GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN REGIMENTALLY IDENTIFIED PICKELHAUBE.

A good all leather pickelhaube, possibly size 54 or 55. Leather skull good with crazing overall both to the skull and front and rear peaks. All brass fittings, which match in colour overall, standard Prussian front plate. Original chinstrap with matching brass rectangular buckles. Both the national and State cockades are in place. To the interior the 9 tongued liner, soft, supple without any broken tips. Faint traces of a manufacturers circular ink stamping to the inner crown. To the rear peak it is stamped ‘R.28’ date of ‘1910’.
