GERMAN WWII PRUSSIAN GUARD FIELD GREY PICKELHAUBE.

A size 56 all leather skull pickelhaube for an infantryman in a Guard regiment. Good skull with some crazing, the rear peak is securely attached to the main body, the front peak stitching is slightly loose. All good field grey fittings with large Guard front plate with overlay star, complete with both its Reich and Prussian cockades. Good leather chinstrap. To the interior the 9 tongue liner all in place without its original drawstring. One only leather section holding the front plate to the helmet instead of the normal two. Very nice clear markings to the inner rear peak G.R.B.A.18 with a further unit block of E.R.2 1915 dated circular makers stamp to the upper inner crown. Slight distortion in shape to the skull.
