GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE OFFICERS CAP.

A very large size Luftwaffe officers cap being a late war Erel production, a slightly lighter shade of Luftwaffe blue grey ribbed material used in the construction. A matching set of Luftwaffe officers wire woven eagle and cockade with wire woven cap cords and standard mohair centre band. The silver waffenfarbe around the crown has completely lost its silver through oxidisation and the upper strip of waffenfarbe to the mohair band is also very toned, some traces of oxidisation to the lower section. The peak is the late war non double ribbed type. To the interior the cap is lined in the green satin material with its centre celluloid lozenge, when held in certain light the Erel trademark can be seen. Some water staining underneath the lozenge. Also faint traces of the Erel leather stamping into the sweatband itself, the sweatband being of a mid tan colour.
