GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE FLIEGER BLUSE.
A good medium size example of the flieger bluse worn by a Gefreiter in the Luftwaffe. Standard Luftwaffe blue grey with some nicks to the material, very minor moth nips, thin nap to the cloth overall, some minor shredding to the upper inner collar area of the rayon skeleton lining. Yellow wool piped shoulder boards with yellow backed collar patches with the single gull attached. The original Luftwaffe grey on Luftwaffe blue eagle attached with its original cross hatched weave stitching. Two lower pockets with flaps. The lower cuffs have been converted from adjustable to non-adjustable, this was a fashion at the time to make the lower part of the cuffs a snugger fit. One small patch to the right hand sleeve on the inner seam, another larger patch in the similar area to the opposite sleeve, obviously the tunic wearer used his elbows a lot on the desk and consequently wore the tunic through in those areas. Faint visible remains of an RB number to the upper right hand interior rayon pocket and evidence of considerable wear to the tunic lining itself. Bandage pocket still intact. A nice combat worn tunic, great for a mannequin.
