GERMAN WWII TROPICAL PANZER OVERSEAS CAP.

An unusually large size 59 tropical field cap, unworn condition but with one repaired tear to the side curtain on the right hand side as the cap is worn. The standard tropical blue on tan Bevo woven eagle machine stitched in a cross hatched style with a standard form of machine stitching to the lower cockade. The cockade itself surrounded by the inverted pink waffenfarbe for Panzer troops, as well as the repaired tear described adjacent to the upper seam of the cap where the crown is fitted to the sides there is a similar repaired slit, what may have caused this to an unissued cap unfortunately is a question we cannot answer, but a rare cap. Maker marked and size stamped ‘59’ to the interior and depot marked ‘E41’ which we presume is Erfurt.
