GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE OFFICERS VISOR CAP.

A well service worn double Erel marked saddle shaped Luftwaffe officers visor cap, constructed in the Luftwaffe blue grey ribbed material, some fading to the colour. No moth damage to anywhere on the cap. Standard silver waffenfarbe to the crown and the upper and lower section of the mohair centre band. Some minor oxidisation to the silver waffenfarbe at the rear of the crown and a break in the joint of the waffenfarbe itself. Untouched original wire woven Luftwaffe eagle and cockade. Standard officers cap cords. Double ribbed front peak with a 3cm section of the extra ribbing underneath the front peak hanging loose. To the interior the mid brown sweatband is absolutely complete with a good clear Erel trademark. The interior lining in gold with an undamaged Erel marked centre celluloid lozenge with the Erel name clear, although slightly faded. The stiffener that holds the cap into a saddle shape has broken away from the interior cardboard band, which is causing a low front look to the cap. Good size 57.
