GERMAN WWI GUARD DU CORPS OFFICERS VISOR CAP.

A rare dress cap of the Imperial German period being the white and red cap of the Guard Du Corps. Good size, possibly 57, although unmarked. Upper body all in white with red waffenfarbe to the crown, red centre band, officers Prussian State and national cockades, soft crushable peak. The interor sweatband in light tan with a gold brushed cotton inner lining with original officer’s initials ‘JH’ pinned to the inner side of the sweatband.
