GERMAN WWII INFANTRY CITATION GROUP.

An unusual group of three awards to a Colonel of the 1st Battalion 105th Infantry Regiment, part of the 72nd Infantry Division. Comprising: Third Reich awarded War Honour Cross with Swords, date of award 25th January 1935. The A5 size punch-holed citation for the rare Royal Bulgarian Order of Bravery 4th Class, 1st Grade, with the facsimile signature of General Field Marshall Keitel, date of award 2nd December 1941. The punch-holed A5 citation to Oberstleutnant Erich Bernhardt for the Krim Shield dated 23rd August 1942 with the facsimile signature of General Field Marshall Von Manstein. The awards are unusual insomuch as the Royal Bulgarian Order was awarded through Army High Command. Berndardt was obviously a WWI veteran and who served in the Landespolizie in between the wars. Accompanying the three citations are four A4 sized sheets of research, both in text and map form showing the area of operations, deployment and after action reports of the 73rd Infantry Division, which after 1940 were all on the Eastern Front and a lot of action in the area of Sevastopol. All of the research put together by the foremost researcher in the U.K.
