GERMAN WWI GAS MASK.

This is the rubber face mask known as the Gummi mask, with original lenses, all face harness complete, with its original filter which unscrews and profusely stamped with a multiplicity of markings, including the manufacturer’s raised stamp of G.J.B.1916. The filter, which has suffered from rot, is being presently held together with cello tape. Fitted into its original carrying tin, which retains a lot of its field grey finish. All canvas short and long straps present. A spare set of lenses lay within the upper inner lid area. Instructions for the use of the mask printed to a label in the base of the tin.
