Excellent blade, full length with single fuller, dated 16, maker Sanderson with crown, various other acceptance stampings. The blade has not been re-profiled. Slight surface rust to the steel fittings on the cross guard and the hilt. Union of South Africa stamped to the upper pommel. Fitted into its leather and steel scabbard, the scabbard itself is dated 42, with its web frog, also match dated 42.
