BRITISH WWI MACHINE GUN CORPS 02 PATTERN TUNIC.
A very nice condition standard pattern 02 tunic for enlisted men, issued to a corporal in a Machine Gun Corps. Generally good nap to the cloth, no moth damage. The paper label to the interior mainly in place, the maker of Bridge, Jones and Gibson Limited with a good clear date of 1918, some cracking to the label, it is at present protected by a section of Perspex pinned in place. Standard white cotton lining. Some other unidentified markings and numbers underneath one of the pocket bags, the number over letter WD mark to the skeletal lining around the belt support hooks. Fitted with a set of brass shoulder titles MGC (Machine Gun Corps) corporal stripes, two wound stripes and four overseas service stripes. All of the buttons are the private purchase Machine Gun Corps full back model, a very good Machine Gun Corps tunic.
