GERMAN WWI ERSATZ UHLAN HELMET.

A very rare helmet in the ersatz series being an all tin Uhlan helmet skull with its non removable tin mortarboard top all matching in finish. Some light rust bleed coming through the black finish overall, with its brass small Uhlan size Prussian front plate, standard leather strap with subdued buckles, black and white Prussian field cockade with one single national black, white and red side cockade. The helmet is complete with its 8 tongued liner, one of the tongues has cracked from the main body but is still intact, all held together by its original drawstring. The helmet plate is in subdued gilded brass. There is an Imperial German newspaper folded and tucked beneath the liner but because of the delicacy of the liner we have not removed this for any inspection. A rare helmet.
