GERMAN WWII PARATROOPER HELMET.

A nice example of a camouflage German paratrooper helmet. The exterior skull has rust bleed to the crown area and the faint remains of a green, brown and tan camouflage pattern in heavy duty paint. Just visible through the paint is what appears to be the swastika of the decal. The interior liner has suffered from dryness, clearly stamped ‘57’ with the shell size 68. The shell has also been painted to the interior skirt and due to the thickness of the paint the size stamping to the shell is partly obliterated but still can be seen is the number ‘68’. The liner maker clearly stamped ‘Carl Heisler, Berlin’. The stitching that holds the two halves of the liner together is perfect, the dryness is to the rear left hand centre side as the helmet is worn and is frail in those places. The helmet is complete with its blue grey leather chinstraps with all studding complete and working correctly.
