GERMAN WWI IMPERIAL GERMAN G98 RIFLE BAYONET.

A nice example of the G98 bayonet. Maker marked ‘F. Herder & Sohn, Solingen’ with crossed keys motif on the reverse side ‘Walter & Co, Mulhausen’ with ‘1916’ date and Imperial acceptance stamp on the back strap, also acceptance marked on the rear of the upper pommel. Good wood undamaged grips, rifle fitting system working correctly. Fitted into its original undented scabbard with some original finish and its maker marked ‘1915’ dated leather frog.
